The Board of the World BBQ Association is delighted and proud to elect Wim Vink as the
new WBQA CEO.
Retiring CEO Patrick O’Sullivan says, “we are in a safe pair of hands, and we wish Wim
well in his new role, and will support him fully.”
Wim is a family man, born in 1968, married to his fully encouraging wife Bianca, and they
have two children, Johan and Manon.
Wim is a butcher by trade and runs his own BBQ companies – www.barbecueplein.nl and
www.bbqwacht.nl, which sell and repair BBQ equipment respectively.
Wim is a man who likes to look forward, not backward. He is a man of action – less talk.
He says that you can learn a lot from the past, but that the future is what we live for.
Wim has a particular interest in bringing the fun of BBQ to young people so they too can
enjoy fire, food, friendship, and fun – in the right way.
Wim has also, as President of the WBQA NL, successfully run this association. He has
also acted as WBQA Ambassador for Europe.
Wim is a man with vast experience; a man who can bring us forward into the future.
